List¶
List is the table view. It is the fastest way to triage a backlog, run a weekly review, or change many tasks at once.

Columns¶
Available columns: Name, Progress, Status, Focus, Estimate, Project, Labels, Priority, Assignees, Due. Use the Columns menu in the toolbar to show or hide any of them. Most cells are editable inline, so you can fix a due date or bump a priority without opening the task.
Search and filter¶
The search box filters tasks by title as you type. Filter adds facet filters: Project, Area, Status, Priority, Assignee, Labels, Due, Closed. Filters stack, and the toolbar shows how many tasks survive them ("12 of 84"). Clear drops them all.
Sort¶
Sort orders the table by Due date, Priority, Planner order, Title (A-Z), Created date or Project. Click the current field again to flip the direction.
Planner order is worth knowing about: it sorts the table exactly the way the planner intends to work through your tasks, so the top of the list is genuinely what to do next.
Group¶
Group buckets the rows by Status, Priority, Project, Due bucket, or None for a flat list. The Due bucket groups are:
- Overdue
- Today
- This week
- Later
- No date
- Completed
Layout¶
Layout switches between Tree (subtasks nested under their parent, with collapse and expand controls) and Flat (every task as its own row).
Bulk actions¶
Select rows with their checkboxes and a bulk action bar appears, showing how many are selected. From it you can set Labels, set a Due date, and open Actions for the rest (set status, priority, project, assignees, split, delete). Assignees and labels replace the current values rather than adding to them.
Warning
Bulk delete is permanent. Empi tells you whether the selected tasks' future reservations will also be removed from your calendar before you confirm.
Presets¶
Once you have a filter, sort, group and column set you like, save it: the Presets menu offers Save current as new, renaming, deleting, and Set as default so a preset loads automatically when you open List. Presets are per view, so a triage preset and a weekly-review preset can live side by side.
